Burnt Ochre Silk Sari Skinny Scarf

Layers of color, burnt ochre or burnished copper that leads to almost cranberry, bright orange and white.

There are parts of three different vintage saris in this piece. As a jumping off spot, I used the trim pattern from the bottom of a batiked sari that has all the colors in it. I matched the burnt ochre in another sari and the eye-popping orange in yet another. A bit of eyelash yarns adds a bit of texture. Overhand knots hold the strands together with loose fringe about 12 inches (32 cm) long at each end. The scarf is about 82 inches (205 cm) long.
